We Turn The Page
We turn the page, this year is through.
We say farewell to the old and welcome the new.
We meditate on the race just run,
And wonder if all was well that we have done.
If we stop along the way, we'll never win.
Then comes the words, it might have been
Lord help us to pause and see
What is right and good for you and me.
And as we enter a year that's new,
Give us guidance to be honest and true.
Lord have we really set the pace?
Have we been faithful in the race?
Lord keep our courage, always high
Give us the faith to always try.
Let us go forward over brook and rill
And not complain when we reach the hill.
Let us continue to work, we're not alone
With God's help we'll reach our heavenly home.
As we walk through life and reach Senior age,
We know one day we'll turn life's last page.
