Mommy
To say, "Mommy, I love you,"
Sounds childish in a way.
But for the love that it contains
I'll thank God every day.
This child in me shall ne'er forget
The love you've given me.
Were it not for the things you've done,
Today I would not be.
So when I say in words
The way I feel for you,
Be sure the deepest love is in:
"Mommy, I love you."
