Days of Spring

The day is passing fast away
Fluffy clouds drift and sway.
The red sunset all ablaze
Shines through the smoke and haze.
Birds are twittering on the wing,
While the mockingbirds sweetly sing.
Flowers blooming, trees turn green
Tell us of the coming spring.
Storm clouds bring rain our way
Making tree tops rock and sway.
Frogs begin to ripple a happy tune
Morning and evening, and sometimes noon.
Warm days and pleasant nights
Winds that blow to hoist the kites.
Bees and butterflies are coming too
To gather honey from blossoms new.
Each and every little thing
Tell us of the coming spring.
